Could I use gold or my car as a collateral for securing a personal loan?
What is the minimum income that has to be shown to get a secured loan?
Finder
Sarah June 27, 2024 FinderYes, you may be able to provide your car as collateral, provided it’s not currently secured against another personal loan. The minimum income depends on a range of other factors. The lender wants to ensure you can repay the loan based on your current income, debts, expenses and employment security. Your best bet is to contact CBA and explain your situation, so you can see what your options are. Hope this helps!

Hi Meysam, Thank you for reaching out to finder. If you have already made an application with Commonwealth on a personal loan, you may need to direct this query over to them to be sure as to when the money would be disbursed. If you have not applied yet and still checking on the timeline for disbursement, the company will inform you once the application is processed and approved. Hope this helps! Cheers,

I am Centrelink newstart allowance recipient looking for the best unsecured personal loan as I find it hard to get approved because I don’t have a job. I own my own home, I don’t owe any money to anybody, and I don’t have credit cards with very good credit rating. Can someone please give me an answer to where I can get a loan?
Joshua October 17, 2018 FinderHi Maselusi, Thanks for getting in touch with Finder. I hope all is well with you. :) I’m sorry to hear that you are having trouble in finding a lender who can help you. Generally, the more documents you can show that you can make repayments, the higher your chance of getting approved. However, in your case, your only source of income is Centrelink and not all lenders could consider that as enough proof of your ability to make repayments. Thankfully, there are lenders offering Centrelink loans. Please refer to the table to compare your option. On that page, you will also read our guide on how to improve your chance of getting a loan. I hope this helps. Should you have further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach us out again. Have a wonderful day! Cheers,
Joshua

finder.com.au is one of Australia's leading comparison websites. We are committed to our readers and stands by our editorial principles We try to take an open and transparent approach and provide a broad-based comparison service. However, you should be aware that while we are an independently owned service, our comparison service does not include all providers or all products available in the market. Some product issuers may provide products or offer services through multiple brands, associated companies or different labeling arrangements. This can make it difficult for consumers to compare alternatives or identify the companies behind the products. However, we aim to provide information to enable consumers to understand these issues.
We make money by featuring products on our site. Compensation received from the providers featured on our site can influence which products we write about as well as where and how products appear on our page, but the order or placement of these products does not influence our assessment or opinions of them, nor is it an endorsement or recommendation for them. Products marked as 'Top Pick', 'Promoted' or 'Advertisement' are prominently displayed either as a result of a commercial advertising arrangement or to highlight a particular product, provider or feature. Finder may receive remuneration from the Provider if you click on the related link, purchase or enquire about the product. Finder's decision to show a 'promoted' product is neither a recommendation that the product is appropriate for you nor an indication that the product is the best in its category. We encourage you to use the tools and information we provide to compare your options. Where our site links to particular products or displays 'Go to site' buttons, we may receive a commission, referral fee or payment when you click on those buttons or apply for a product. You can learn more about how we make money.
When products are grouped in a table or list, the order in which they are initially sorted may be influenced by a range of factors including price, fees and discounts; commercial partnerships; product features; and brand popularity. We provide tools so you can sort and filter these lists to highlight features that matter to you.
